Modern Olives are recognised as pioneers in, and a leading provider of technical services to the olive oil industry. As the only specialist laboratory in Australia, we have expertise in chemical and sensory testing.  We also offer personalised blending advice and undertake research projects relating to olive oil and olive products.

We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, accurate and in-depth analysis for products including Oil, Olive Leaf Extract, Olive Leaf Tea and any other olive derivative product. Each of our team members are experts in their field and we are dedicated to making sure each of our clients understand their results, and how these can be interpreted to make changes for improved product quality and safety for the next harvest.

Our Lab

Our state of the art, fully equipped laboratory is qualified to test both food and pharmaceutical products, including physical, chemical and microbiological testing to determine compliance with food or therapeutic regulations. Additionally, we provide contaminant detection for a range of pesticides, heavy metals and plasticizers for clients who require assurance of the health and safety of their product.

Quality Assurance experts

We have a full-time Quality Assurance expert whose role it is to ensure that we are exceeding expectations in our duties as a multi-accredited laboratory. Modern Olives regularly submit to proficiency testing with AOCS, and is accredited by the authorities list below.
